Of the 185,175 citizens living in Litchfield County in 2021, 81.8% were old enough to vote, equating to 151,538 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 74,812 were male, constituting 49.4%, and 76,726 were female, making up 50.6%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Litchfield County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 79.4%.
